Barbara, Shirley & family;
I was so saddened to hear of Julia's passing. I love her as if she were my blood "Grandmama"!
She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. I always told her she should be a model. I still remember the day she looked at Sheila & me at Dymo and said, next Thursday I'm teaching you girls how to golf. That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship that I'll always treasure.
We had such fun with her, so many laughs! She was a great teacher...if we hit the ball in the woods or the water, she would say, Well what the hell was that...I didn't teach you to do that!
She did show us how to hit a goose in the leg...poor thing limped off the fairway! We would laugh so hard, walking behind Peggy, watching the trail of golf balls falling out of her bag....then the wheel fell of her pull cart, Peggy just kept on walking. Grandmama would just shake her head laughing as we picked up her golf ball trail.
Then she introduced us to you two, and your kids. She included us in your family times, which were always fun! She really lived life to the fullest and enjoyed her life & family so much.
I know how much you all will miss her but use all your wonderful memories of her to help you through this very difficult time.

I was so blessed to know Julia for over 40 years. She taught me how to golf. She made me laugh. She was my friend. My chosen 'Grandmama'. Through her I met her wonderful family and enjoyed many many stories of them and spent occasions together. I loved her very much and will always hold her memory close to my heart. Barb, Shirley, & families- my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. You all were her life. Sheila
