Gladys B. Reavis, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Easton, MA, where she was cared for and loved by so many.
Predeceased by her parents, Ulysses S. and Mary (Jaruse) Reavis, both long time residents of Brockton MA, and her two brothers Uly Reavis, and Ronald Reavis, Gladys is survived by her three loving sisters Connie (Reavis) Cabral and her husband Antonio Cabral of Easton MA, Mary (Reavis) Fader-Richardson and her husband James Richardson of Delray Beach, FL, and Linda (Reavis) Tattrie and her husband William Tattrie of Brockton. Gladys is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews to whom she was known as the “favorite aunt”.
Gladys was known for being so loving and for always making people laugh. She was the type of person who made everyone happy. Gladys spent most of her career as a secretary in Boston at Mass General Hospital, where she loved her job and, after recovering from a severe stroke, her colleagues arranged for her to attend a performance by Luciano Pavarotti and to meet backstage with the renowned tenor.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday August 27th from 5-7PM with a memorial service at 7PM in the Sampson-Hickey-Grenier Funeral Home, 309 Main St., Brockton, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gladys’s name to the Activities Department in the Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, 184 Lincoln St. #1, North Easton, MA 02356.
