Melissa Passos

Melissa Passos passed away on September 19, 2018 at the age of 53 years. Melissa was a happy, loving person who would help anyone who was in need and her sparkling, caring personality defined her life and friendships. She will be especially missed by her husband Gerry, her parents Gordon and Judy Sutherland, sisters Wendie and Suzanne and beautiful granddaughter Elena. Melissa was preceded in death by her only son Joshua, who died 2 years ago and was the father of Elena.

Gerry and Melissa were married only one year, but found they really wanted and needed each other. It was a marriage “made in Heaven “as Gerry was by her side throughout her illness.

Melissa will be greatly missed by her niece Holly Blackwood, nephews Jamie Nguyen and Derrick Sutherland, former husband Fred Gomes, and her dear friend, Danny Duff who was by her side even prior to when she was diagnosed with cancer.

She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Acknowledgments of appreciation for her special care goes to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.

A memorial celebrating Melissa’s life will be held at First Congregational Church, Gibbs Avenue, Wareham, MA 02571 on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11 AM.
