Elizabeth "Betty" A. (Dunham) Levesque

Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Dunham) Levesque of Rockland passed away on November 12th peacefully in her home.  She was 86 years old.  Mrs. Levesque was the wife of Rosaire H. Levesque of Brockton who preceded her in death.  She was the loving mother of Edward Levesque and his wife Jannene of Winchester and Aimee Palmariello and her husband John of Holbrook.  Elizabeth was the grandmother of Heather Licciardi, Rachel Palmariello, Sean Levesque, Megan Levesque and Kirk Levesque.  She was the great grandmother of Stella Licciardi and Gabriel Licciardi.  Mrs. Levesque is survived by her brother Alan Dunham and Bruce Dunham and her sister Priscilla Ham.  Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister Judy Sawyer.

Mrs. Levesque was born in 1932 in Nantucket, MA.  She was the oldest of five children to her parents, the late Stanley and Olive Dunham.  After graduation from Brockton High School and an Accounting School, she worked at an insurance company in Boston and for a regional bank for many years.

Elizabeth and Rosaire shared 56 years of love and marriage. She was also a talented bowler; she met Rosaire through bowling and the two of them eventually were on a team together. They enjoyed many fun and successful games together.  She will be fondly remembered and loved by all who knew her.

Elizabeth was an avid Boston sports fan and was thrilled the Red Sox won another championship. She spent many enjoyable days on her porch and in her yard, and enjoyed bird watching. She was a regular attendee at the LeisureWoods Community Center in Rockland, where she gathered weekly with other local residents for dinner and conversation. 

Visiting Hours will be held at Sampson-Hickey-Grenier Funeral Home 309 Main St. Brockton on Sunday November 18, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St. Brockton on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15 PM.
