Raymond E. Boyd of Brockton passed away peacefully on Thursday June 16, 2016 at the age of 88.
He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Jean F. (Oliver) Boyd. The loving father of Pamela R. Johnson and her husband Paul of Hanson, Marcia A. Goulet and her husband Tom of Sandwich, Gina Hoppe and her husband Ken of South Easton, and Gary S. Boyd of Brockton. Grandfather of Evan, Paige, Sebastin, and Tatiana.
Ray was a longtime Brockton resident growing up on the East side. A U.S. Army Veteran, Korean Conflict. He was a star pitcher for Paine School Baseball in his younger years. He loved music and was an accomplished sax player. For many years he worked as a draftsman for Stone and Webster. Ray will be most remembered as an avid antique dealer and real estate salesman.
