September 17, 2016

Preston "Bunny "Harris at the age of 89 has gone home to be with his his beloved wife and best friend Verona "V" Humphrey Harris. He passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Manor from a long illness on September 17, 2016.

He was the son of the late Inez "Harris" Chaplic. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as an Air-Craftsmen. He worked many years at Avon Sole and proudly retired as a maintenance man for the City of Brockton.

Bunny was proud to live in Brockton, the City of Champions. He followed many teams through out his years. He had such a great love for sports, especially Baseball. He helped coach  his son's Little League team in the City.  Baseball was his favorite sport, as he played it in the Navy. If you asked what his favorite team was he would proudly tell you the Yankees.

For those who knew Bunny he loved the simple things in life. He had an unexpected sense of humor that just amazed you. He was truly a private man who had the greatest love for his family. Being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought such joy and excitement to him. He will be forever missed.
